South Africa, one of the most sought after holiday and business destinations in the world, and justly so. South Africa is magical - from the Knysna Forests, through the whale haven of Hermanus, to Table Mountain in Cape Town, and the cradle of Humankind in Pretoria- you will be entranced with it's people, majestic mountains, secret forests and golden beaches.
Enjoy a wildlife safari and see the Big Five, arrange a tour to see the penguins on Robben Island, or relax in the natural bio-sphere of the Bot Rivier; South Africa is alive - the three major Cities in South Africa: Cape Town (including Hermanus), Pretoria and Johannesburg offer all the usual city life luxuries that first world countries enjoy; vibrant nightlife, excellent dining, the best jazz clubs & cigar lounges, stunning shopping experiences and so much more than your imagination can muster.
South Africa is an all year destination, and your choice of when to visit depends on what you would like to see or do. Anytime is the 'right' time for game watching, however, the best time for safaris and game watching would be early spring. The Southern Right Whales can be seen off the Western Coasts from mid June to the end of October, and the Humpback Whale from August to September. Golf is enjoyed all year round and South Africa offers some of the best courses available to play.
Summer can be very hot, especially in the Lowveld. Higher altitude areas are pleasantly warm over summer, the mountains are rain and mist prone. Swimming on the East Coast of South Africa is enjoyed year round. Spring is the best time for wildflowers in the Northern Cape and Western Cape. Winters are mild everywhere except in the highest country, where there are frosts and occasional snowfalls.
