Children
Arabella Western Cape Hotel and Spa understands that the key to a really successful holiday is making sure that the entire family is entertained. Knowing that your children are happy, having fun and well taken care of means that you can truly enjoy golf on the championship course, a wonderfully luxurious spa treatment or just the chance to sit and do nothing. For you, it's a rare opportunity for total relaxation. For them, it's real holiday magic.
A warm welcome
From the moment they get there, children are made to feel welcome. On arrival, they'll receive their own personal letter from the chef, something delicious to eat and drink and a special gift in their room. Then it's off to explore The Kids Club – the play and activity centre set in the heart of the hotel's beautiful grounds.
Planned programmes
During weekends and school holidays, The Kids Club has a specially-created schedule devised by an educational specialist and designed to keep your child entertained and stimulated throughout the day. The programme includes arts and crafts, board games, puzzles, books, Lego, the jungle gym, DVDs and PlayStation 2. Most importantly, the team is focused on looking after each individual child and making sure he or she is having a great time. They'll also organise tennis, golf, mini cricket, putt-putt – there is an entire course available so that your budding Tiger Woods can start practising early - scavenger hunts, volleyball, kids olympics and all sorts of other competitions. While they'll be having too much fun to notice, the emphasis is on care and safety and you can leave them, knowing that they are in extremely capable hands.
The great outdoors
One of the many things that make a visit to Arabella Western Cape Hotel & Spa so memorable is its spectacular setting. It is surrounded by one of the most beautifully and ecologically rich areas of the Western Cape – indeed, of South Africa. The hotel can arrange child-friendly hikes and nature walks designed to awaken an interest in the wonders of the natural world around them.
Lets get this party started
On Friday and Saturday evenings, youngsters can join in the 'Kids Night Out'. There are movies, a delicious supper and a chance to make new friends - while Mum and Dad are, perhaps, getting reacquainted with each other at one of the hotel's superb (grown-up) restaurants.
Food glorious food
The children's menu has a wonderful array of delicious (and nutritious) dishes designed to go down well with the younger crowd. There's also an in-room menu for kids to enjoy with parents or babysitters - or in the children's exclusive dining area – and child-friendly crockery and cutlery. The hotel can provide everything from bottle warmers to booster seats.
